STS_Zig_Zag_Tester is developed to test strategies for trend or range, using the Zig-Zag indicator, which smooths the last directional movement. It is suitable for testing all groups of trading tools - Forex, Crypto, Indices, Precious Metals and more.
The strategies it can test are based entirely on the Zig-Zag indicator, with positions opening at the Zig-Zag and closing at the reverse Zig-Zag.
Long positions are opened on downward Zig-Zag and closed in upward Zig-Zag. Short positions are opened on upward Zig-Zag and closed on downward Zig-Zag.
In the settings of the Tester you can define a trading zone, which serves both to determine the price range in which the robot will work and as stop-loss for the open positions. The Tester can test short, long positions, or both. You can set the period and time-frame of the Zig-Zag indicator.
