STS Fractal Bot is designed to open positions after the formation of a local bottom or local peak, so called Fractals. Once we have loaded the Robot on a pre-selected timeframe, it will wait for a Fractal to form and will open a position.
What is Fractal?
Fractal is a configuration of three or more candles.
We have a Bullish Fractal of 3 candles when candle 2 has a lower low than candle 1 and candle 3. A Bullish Fractal of 5 candles is when candle 1 and 2 have consecutive lower lows, candle 3 has the lowest low, and candle 4 and 5 have consecutive higher lows.
We have a Bearish Fractal of 3 candles when candle 2 has a higher high than candle 1 and candle 3. A Bearish Fractal of 5 candles is when candle 1 and 2 have consecutive higher highs, candle 3 has the highest high, and candle 4 and 5 have consecutive lower highs.
Example 1:
Trade direction: Long
Type of Trade: Single
Number of Fractal candles: 3
In this example the Bot opens a long trade after a Fractal of 3 candles forms.
Example 2:
Trade direction: Short
Type of Trade: Single
Number of Fractal candles: 5
In this example the Bot opens a short trade after a Fractal of 5 candles forms.
